Kathleen Hope works as
a director, writer and actor in regional theatre and film. She is a published author
having written and directed numerous shows such as "Scheherezhade", "The
Good Stone", "Sleeping Beauty", "The Secret Garden Revisited",
"Tom and Huck in a Mississippi Adventure" and others which have been produced at
various venues including Myriad Gardens Theatre at Twilight and Oklahoma Childrens
Theatre. As a performer she also books as an improvisational motivational speaker for
corporate and private functions. She also teaches and acting and improvisation for
children and adults. Kathleen is a member of Baloney Rodeo, a professional improvisational
comedy group based in Oklahoma City. This insane group of comedians has toured all over
the southwest U.S. and has been featured at the Big Stinkin Improv in Austin, Texas.
Kathleen has worked in commercial and industrial film for many years, selling everything
from cars to manure, advanced technology to hospital safety. She has represented companies
across the nation and has toured the state performing for the Oklahoma Academy for State
Goals, Oklahoma Childrens Theatre and 2 x 4 Productions.
Kathleen loves every facet of performance and visual arts. She has written and recorded several incidental pieces for her stage productions, and works consistently with professional musicians in theatre and film. She enjoys incorporating visual arts in her stage productions as well. The arts are a part of her every day living, and she is fortunate to have worked with so many talented and wonderful artists, who have helped her sharpen and love her craft. Miss Hope works diligently as a supporter and advocate of the arts and is interested in the amazing possibilities of performance and artistic expression.
