Merlyn H. ‘Smitty’ Smith
1917 - 2007

Smitty Smith (Merlyn) loved live performances, particularly theatre. He was a very graceful dancer, often sharing his expertise to teach others dance steps to get them through a show. His last performance with DLT was when he graced us with a cameo performance in “Red, Hot, and Cole” in February 2005 as he sashayed across the stage of the Simmons Center with the love of his life, Fluff. What a kind and generous man.
He will always be remembered for his beautiful smile and big heart.
William Doyle ‘Pat’ Crawford
1938-2007

Pat Crawford, husband of former board member and avid supporter of DLT, Judy, was generous beyond words. He was always willing to do whatever his wife asked of him to support the charties and non-profits of her liking. He could be seen transporting set and props in the blink of an eye. He will be fondly remembered for his kind and loving manner as he offered his moral support one dark evening during the production of “Tom Sawyer” when there was an incident with one of the crew and he came rushing to rescue the scene.

Sometimes it's difficult to express just how much someone will be missed, not only by friends and family, but by the community as well. Duncan Little Theatre has recently established a Memorial and Honorary Fund where special people can be remembered.

A contribution to DLT in that person's name can be a perfect way to memorialize a loved one or honor someone you feel is deserving. Such a gift to DLT will serve as a permanent memorial and an excellent historical record for the names of the many who have resided in and been valuable members of our community.

The names of those individuals will be noted in all DLT newsletters and programs for our entire season. A person may be remembered by more than one individual or contribution. Your gift represents an investment in people, education, and the future of our community by assisting Duncan Little Theatre  to continue to provide quality live theatrical productions locally.

To make a donation in remembrance of your loved one or to honor someone who you feel is an outstanding individual contact Sharon Davis at 580-252-4078 or you may mail your tax deductible contribution to Duncan Little Theatre, P.O. Box 531, Duncan, OK 73534. Be sure to specify that your contribution is a memorial contribution in honor of someone.

A Special Remembrance of

a Special DLT Friend

Duncan Little Theatre was saddened to lose two of our theatre family this season.

Both of these kind men will be greatly missed in our community theatre scene. We remember them fondly.

We at Duncan Little Theatre were saddened to learn of the passing of one of our long-time volunteer actors. To many of you, Ethan will be remembered from “Annie”; to more recent patrons, you will remember Ethan as “the $5 dog” in this season’s “Cheaper by the Dozen.”
Ethan will be missed by us all. Our condolences to Ethan’s family, the Crawford's.
